Sharonville Convention Center Expansion - Sharonville, OH
CLIENT: City of Sharonville VALUE: $25M ROLE: CM LEED Silver
A 58,658 SF renovation and 76,760 SF addition of the Sharonville Convention Center, designed and built to accommodate larger events. The expansion included a 20,000 SF exhibition hall, two floors of meeting rooms, a third floor of convention center offices, an outdoor veranda for added event space, and a glass rotunda to serve as the new main entry. The renovation of the existing building includes the conversion of the existing exhibition hall into a ballroom, upgrades to existing meeting rooms and kitchen, and new technology including electronic signage, message boards and built-in registration areas and ticket counters. As the Construction Manager, Megen deftly handled the renovation and expansion in a two-step process, keeping the building fully operational for the duration of construction. The project is certified with a LEED Silver rating, making it the only LEED certified meeting and event facility in the Greater Cincinnati area.
"The project was under budget and on time. Those were the two things that the City of Sharonville wanted from day one, and Megen delivered on both."
Ted Mack, Safety Service Director, City of Sharonville
